As part of Men’s Health Week and the range of important health and wellbeing events supported by the City of Whittlesea, I was proud to attend at the Mill Park Leisure Centre.

This initiative brought together staff, and community members to raise awareness about the importance of men’s physical, and mental wellbeing. As Mayor, I had the privilege of speaking with attendees about the need to break down stigma, encourage early help seeking, and support each other in making health a priority.

I also took the opportunity to jump on the treadmill and get involved especially fitting since the Mill Park Leisure is my gym. I felt right at home among familiar faces and familiar spaces, which made the event all the more meaningful.

A big thank you to everyone who made the event such a success. Together, we are building a healthier and more connected community one where every individual feels supported to take that first step toward better health.

Let’s continue the conversation and keep supporting each other, not just during Men’s Health Week but all year round.
