Today I had the pleasure of visiting Mill Park Police Station to say hi and personally thank the members for the tremendous service they provide to our community, with the resources at their disposal. Their dedication, professionalism, and commitment is truly inspiring. Over the past couple of weeks, we have all been reminded just how dangerous policing can be. Every single day, police put their lives on the line to help keep our community safer. Their dedication deserves not just our gratitude, but also our support.

One simple way we can help is by doing our part when it comes to reporting crime. The next time you need to report a nonurgent crime committed in the City of Whittlesea such as thefts and burglaries that don’t involve firearms, assaults or aggravated circumstances etc, then please use the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 or lodge a report online.

Taking this small step makes a big difference. It helps our police allocate their resources better, and ultimately, work to help keep our community safer. It’s a simple action, but one of the many ways each of us can play a part in helping our police help us.
