Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of attending the Northern Business Achievement Awards (NBAA) Breakfast at the Novotel Preston alongside Cr Cox and Cr Stow. The event brought together business and community leaders from across the northern region to celebrate innovation, entrepreneurship, and outstanding contributions to our local economy and society.

As Mayor of the City of Whittlesea, I was deeply honoured to accept the “Young Achiever” Award on behalf of Ms Shristi Sharma, the Founder and Clinical Director of Helping Hands Behaviour Support. Although Shristi was unable to attend in person for very good reasons, her inspiring work continues to speak volumes. Helping Hands Behaviour Support provides vital therapy and positive behaviour support services for neurodiverse individuals supporting inclusion, empowerment, and long term wellbeing.
The City of Whittlesea Council was proud to host this important event and recognise young leaders like Shristi who are making a profound impact in the lives of others and strengthening our community with compassion, skill, and vision.
Congratulations, Shristi you are a credit to our city and the broader northern region.
