Mayor of the City of Whittlesea
Mayor of the City of Whittlesea

As Mayor of the City of Whittlesea, one of the greatest privileges of my role is being out in the community consistently engaging with residents, community groups, sporting clubs, local businesses, schools, organisations and our emergency services. It is through these connections that I listen, learn, and celebrate the incredible contributions that make our city such a vibrant, inclusive, and resilient place to live.

Whether you are organising a local celebration, school assembly, sporting event, cultural festival, club meeting, community BBQ, or business forum, I would be honoured to attend, speak with your members, hear from your community, or simply share in the occasion alongside you.

To me these are far more than ceremonial duties. They are meaningful opportunities to:

1. Celebrate the remarkable efforts of our volunteers, community leaders, residents, and local organisations;

2. Share important updates about Council’s priorities, projects, initiatives, and the progress we are making together;

3. Listen to your ideas, concerns, and aspirations for the future of our municipality; and

4. Strengthen community collaboration and foster genuine connections across our wonderfully diverse city.

I am committed to leading by example, which is why I am out in the community week in and week out. Real leadership does not happen behind a desk. It happens in our parks, meeting halls, schools, shopping centres, main streets, forums, businesses and neighbourhoods right alongside the people we serve.

If you would like to invite me to your next event, please don’t hesitate to reach out. It would be a privilege to be part of it.

You can request the Mayor or your local Councillors’ attendance by visiting the City of Whittlesea website at www.whittlesea.vic.gov.au/home or email directly to councilinvite@whittlesea.vic.gov.au Together we are building a stronger, safer, and more connected City of Whittlesea.
