Since being elected Mayor, I have been repeatedly asked, What does the Mayor actually do? What do I bring to the role? Who am I? What do I stand for? What is my background, my professional experience, my academic qualifications, and the journey that led me here? And at the City of Whittlesea event I attended this afternoon as Mayor with Cr Stow, I was again asked several times.
These are all important questions and ones I welcome.
So, in response, I proactively invite all our community to learn more about me, my values, and my lifelong commitment to public service by visiting my website and social media pages:
These platforms provide a look at the journey that has shaped who I am, highlighting my service in the Military as a veteran, across the law, legal profession, Victoria Police, emergency services, education, local government, and my lifelong commitment to community advocacy.
You will also find information about the core values that guide my work, integrity, accountability, fairness, and respect, principles that influence every decision I make as Mayor and Councillor for our great City of Whittlesea.
Whether you are a resident, business owner, community member, professional colleague, or simply someone with an interest in leadership and public service, I invite you to read and discover what motivates my work, what I stand for, and why I have devoted my life to serving individuals, families, and our broader community.
Thank you sincerely for your interest, engagement, and support. It is an honour and a privilege to serve you, the people of the City of Whittlesea, and Whittlesea City Council as your Mayor.
