Strengthening Regional Collaboration: Meeting with Mayor Cr John Dougall of Mitchell Shire Council

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with the Mayor of Mitchell Shire Council, Cr John Dougall, for a highly constructive two hour discussion focused on key preliminary strategic issues of shared interest between the City of Whittlesea and Mitchell Shire Council.

Our conversation centred on opportunities for stronger collaboration between our neighbouring municipalities, with a focus on Stronger Advocacy, Cross Border Solutions, Innovation and Knowledge Sharing and Better Community Outcomes.

I look forward to reporting back to my Council on the strategic themes discussed and exploring opportunities for ongoing collaboration that strengthen both municipalities and the broader region we proudly serve.
